Hormone Health

Hormone Health
[ICON=hormones.gif]Hormone imbalance is on the rise due to dietary and environmental factors, with hormones coming in from our food and water and from cosmetics. Part of the process of keeping our hormones balanced is to firstly minimise our exposure to them from external sources and secondly to support the liver because this organ is involved in the efficient utilisation of our hormones and clearance/detoxification. B vitamins in the form of a B complex supplement together with the herb milk thistle are useful for healthy functioning of our liver. Herbs commonly used for treating hormone imbalance include agnus castus, black cohosh, dong quai and red sage. These are always more effective when taken as part of a formula rather than on their own.
